Af-barwaaqo, Somalia — The Alasow Foundation has expressed its sincere appreciation to the Second Deputy Speaker of the Galmudug Parliament, Hon. Fadumo Abdi Ali “Faandhe”, for delivering vital food assistance to communities affected by drought in the Mudug region.
The humanitarian aid was distributed in Af-barwaaqo District, where approximately 1,000 vulnerable families received food supplies. The assistance also reached surrounding villages under the district administration, where residents have been severely impacted by the ongoing drought affecting large parts of Somalia.
According to local officials and community representatives, the prolonged drought has significantly reduced access to food and water, leaving many households struggling to meet their basic needs. The food distribution aims to provide immediate relief to families facing difficult living conditions.
The Alasow Foundation highlighted that humanitarian cooperation between community leaders, government representatives, and charitable organizations is essential to responding effectively to the humanitarian crisis.
The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to continuing humanitarian programs that support vulnerable communities in Somalia, particularly those affected by drought, displacement, and poverty.
Local residents welcomed the assistance and thanked both the Alasow Foundation and Hon. Fadumo Abdi Ali Faandhe for their efforts to support families during this challenging period.
